About Danielle

I am a mom to 4 beautiful children.  I am a wife.  I am friend to everyone.  I am also a student at Central Michigan University majoring in Elementary Special Education with a focus in Cognitive Impairments as well as a minor Childhood Development.  Teaching is more than something I want to do, it is something that I already do.  Helping children find their way and watching them grasp new concepts is an amazing occurence.  I eagerly look foward to having a classroom of my own.

Mather Elementary Principal

Dear Mr. Paquette:

While student teaching and throughout experiences substitute teaching I have learned my heart and passion are in the classroom.  There is no greater joy than to see [a] student(s) grasp a topic and to see the student(s) excitement to learn.  My role in the classroom is to facilitate education through multiple modalities of learning and with a background in early childhood development and special education I understand this thoroughly.

As my student teaching supervisor noted, I have an innate sense how to engage students and how to manage classroom behaviors as well.  Each student learns differently, and being able to differentiate instruction is paramount.

While student teaching I planned and taught units in math, social studies and English Language Arts.  These units incorporated technology, open class discussions, as well as many hands on activities.  Students were encouraged to participate to their individual full ability and were held to high academic and behavioral standards.

I hope to bring my excitement to teach to the classroom and to as many students as possible within the Munising Public School District.  I would like to speak with you further about my background and any opportunities that are available within Mather Elementary.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Danielle Holland
